Self-Organization in Large Distributed Systems
Kunštátský, Martin ; Řezníček, Ivo (referee) ; Šperka, Svatopluk (advisor)
Gossip is a generic protocol which was designed for spreading information between nodes in large distributed decentralised systems. This protocol can be also used for many different applications including data aggregation, topology construction, etc. This work presents and describes a framework designed for facilitating modelling and simulation of Gossip-based systems.
ZigBee Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks
Bartek, Lukáš ; Nagy, Jan (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
The aim of this work is to analyze ZigBee standard - its characteristic, potential use and testing its implementation in simulators. This work is consists of four sections. The first section analyses the structure of IEEE 802.15.4 and ZigBee protocol stack means of communications, security and development of this standard. The second section describes features of available simulators. The third section is the manual for creating simulation environment in the selected simulator. The final section shows practical preparation, process and result interpretation. The goal of this project is evaluation of tested simulator for education and development.
Portal for Aggregation of Data from Web Sources
Mikita, Tibor ; Křivka, Zbyněk (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This thesis deals with data extraction and data aggregation from heterogeneous web sources. The goal is to create a platform and a functional web application using appropriate technologies. The main focus of the thesis is on the application design and implementation. The application domain is accommodation or lease of apartments. For the data extraction, we use the portal API or a wrapper. Obtained data is stored in a document database. In this thesis, we managed to design and implement a system that allows to obtain rental ads from multiple web sources at the same time and to present them in a uniform way.
System for Agregation of Information from Public Databases
Pojsl, Jakub ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a system for law firms, designed to automatically retrieve relevant information from public databases. Initially, the reader is familiarized with the significance and accessibility of chosen public registers within the context of prevailing legislation. This is followed by an analysis of the processes within law firms and the existing information systems in their area. Subsequently, the focus shifts to the detailed specification and design of this system, encapsulating functionalities for client management, document organization, mail handling, and simplified billing procedures. The practical aspect of the thesis includes the actual implementation of the system, with a particular focus on user interface design, data accessibility from external sources, and the streamlining of law firm processes. The outcome of this work is a comprehensive system to aid the law firm’s operations. This includes aggregating data from selected public databases, monitoring changes in court and insolvency proceedings, and integrating with a government electronic mailbox system. Additionally, the system offers a publicly available interface for obtaining aggregated data from public registers. The system has been deployed in a testing environment, paving the way for further enhancements and demonstrating the potential for real-world application.
Situation and intentions in the area of care of sound documents in memory institutions of the Czech Republic
Horová, Iva ; Šír, Filip
The paper highlights the plight of the Czech Republic in the area of care for sound cultural heritage. Although this topic has recently appeared in the official state documents, there have been no changes in practice. Some steps were taken by the Moravian Land Library, but we still lack systematic support and, above all, the creation of a methodological center. We are increasingly wasting our time, physically degrading our bearers and threatening to permanently lose their content. The presented model explores the whole range of problems to be addressed and the actors that need to be involved.

Design and Implementation of System for Aggregations of Real Estate Offers in the Czech Republic
Drobník, Jakub ; Kučera, Jan (advisor) ; Chlapek, Dušan (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the design and implementation of software for aggregations of real estate offers in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to create a system which aggregates the data of real estate offers from web pages. This thesis consists of two basic parts. The context of creating the system is described in the first part. The author discusses ways to retrieve data from websites - especially the extraction of data using automated robots - in the first part of the thesis. The design and implementation of the system are described in the second part. The author and sponsor define requirements for the system in the second part of the thesis. The outcome of this thesis is a prototype that aggregates data from real estate portals into the prepared database. The main contribution of the thesis is an example of a possible approach that can aggregate data from a particular market segment and put it into the database.

Integration of statistic application and gaming system using data warehouse and Java platform
Macoun, Jakub ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Šlajchrt, Zbyněk (referee)
Diploma thesis is about creation of support software integrated into gaming system. Thanks to non-existence of documentation of chosen gaming information system, untraditional method of software creation had to be used. The method is described by this thesis. Main objective of the thesis is creation of supporting application that generates aggregated data, stores it to a data warehouse and presents it to its users. All of this development is done using defined method. Thesis is divided in two main parts. The first one contains analysis of gaming information system. This analysis is used in the second part of the thesis, which describes how was the developed software designed and implemented. All analysis in the thesis are important part of the final product development and the product can be created thanks to them. Created application is unique in its domain and brings view at an untraditional development of this support software. Thanks to its uniqueness, created software can help with inspiration for next development in this domain.
